5 Great Restaurants in Hamilton Heights

by | Jan 19, 2017

Several establishments have joined the restaurant scene in Hamilton Heights recently, making it an exciting place to grab a bite to eat or drink. Here are our 5 restaurant recommendations for the neighborhood.

The Chipped Cup

The Chipped Cup is a cafe that offers a cozy, old-time feel and a courtyard in the back. It has plenty of outlets and free wifi, making it a popular place to relax or do some work. We recommend getting one of their homemade pop tarts or the bear shaped pastry to go along with your cup of coffee.

Tsion Café

If you’re looking for delectable Ethiopian food, look no further! Tsion Café provides a taste of authentic Ethiopian food right in Hamilton Heights. We love the Doro Tibs and the Firfir, or if you’re feeling extra hungry, try getting the Veggie Combo Platter.

Hogshead Tavern

Located on a somewhat quiet street, Hogshead Tavern tends to be a little more laid back than most popular, overcrowded bars. Its industrial vibe and trendy atmosphere definitely make it a cool place to hang out. They have a great list of cocktails and an amazing Crispy Pork Belly Grilled Cheese – a must try for cheese lovers!

The Grange

The Grange is a rustic but chic space, popular for its comfort food as well as its range of craft beer and wine on tap. For brunch enthusiasts, they have a $35 bottomless brunch on the weekends. With quite an extensive menu, it can be hard to choose what to order, but our favorite was the Butternut Squash Ravioli.

Oso

Oso is a great place to get innovative Mexican food in the area. We love the artsy feel of it, as inspired by the chef who is also an artist. Hold back on gorging yourself with too many of their free chips and salsa so you can save space for their amazing fish tacos or amazingly tender octopus.
