A NYC Home Fit For A G.O.A.T.?

by | Apr 17, 2017

Tom Brady has been called many names throughout his career, and after his recent miraculous overtime victory over the Falcons in Super Bowl LI, probably a handful more.

Seriously, the man has been called the greatest quarterback of all time, the most competitive man in sports, and even my personal favorite,

God himself disguised as a lanky midwestern accountant, disguised as the world’s greatest pro football player.

Is it safe to add, New York real estate mogul to that list? We think so.

Tom and his wife Gisele Bündchen (yes, Victoria’s Secret supermodel and multimillionaire in her own right) are no strangers to New York real estate.

The five-time Super Bowl champion and Victoria’s Secret angel have made several notable purchases separately, but what is most impressive is their combined purchase this past summer in TriBeCa. The couple were in contract for a five-bedroom, limestone-covered condo located at 70 Vestry. The condo was designed by acclaimed architect Robert A.M. Stern which was listed for a cool $20 million back in the summer.

Recently, Brady and Bündchen decided to trade up one floor, moving from the 11th to the 12th floor. Early rumors flying around was that Brady wanted the floor to match his jersey number, but that’s more likely fun gossip rather than truth.

The 12th-floor property features a sprawling terrace, waterfront proximity to the Hudson River, and beautiful views of New York City from the top floors of the 14-story building where the couple will reside. The building also features an 82-foot lap pool, cycle and pilates studios, a squash court, sauna, and steam room.

In addition to its sleek, lavish design and premium location, perhaps one of the most desirable features of the space is its elaborate porte-cochere a covered entrance residents may use to drive up to and enter the building, allowing for further privacy.

Brady and Büdchen will have to wait for their stunning condo, with construction on 70 Vestry finishing in early 2018.

In the mean time, if you’d like to be Tom Brady’s upstairs neighbor at 70 Vestry and join celebrities like Taylor Swift, Bradley Cooper, and Jennifer Lawrence in TriBeCa, simply pool together a cool $65 million and the luxurious top-floor penthouse can be yours.
