The A Few Good Men actress has made waves with her recent sale. With Moore spending less and less time in New York and as such, her penthouse, Moore felt like a change needed to be made.

I’m spending the majority of my time in my other homes, and this apartment is too magnificent not to be lived in full time. – Demi Moore to the New York Times

Built in 1930, the San Remo, located between 74th and 75th Street, was designed by preeminent New York architect Emery Roth with a stunning two-tower design.

Moore’s piece of the co-op was located on the 26th, 27th, and 28th floor of the southern tower and included gorgeous views of Central Park and Northern Manhattan.

The penthouse has over 7,000 square feet of interior space and boasts over 1,500 square feet of wraparound terraces with unbeatable views of Central Park. The final price of $45 million crushed San Remo’s previous record of $26.4 million for a sale made in 2014.

Bruce Willis, famous movie star and Moore’s ex-husband, purchased the penthouse for $7 million 25 years ago. Even with the reduction in price, it’s clear that Moore will be making a pretty penny on this sale to a buyer listed as “M2 Trust”.

In the past, San Remo was home to stars such as Stephen Sondheim, Donna Karan, Barry Manilow, Aaron Spelling, Rita Hayworth, Steven Spielberg, Glenn Close, and Tiger Woods. But in recent years, the celebrity residents have left and Wall Street magnates have slowly taken over the building.

With Moore leaving, the only noteworthy artists who still call San Remo home are U2 frontman Bono and Academy Award Winner Diane Keaton.
