Plot: A daffy woman constantly strives to become a star along with her bandleader husband and gets herself in the strangest situations.

Awards and Nominations: I Love Lucy has 24 nominations and 7 wins.

Funny story about Lucille Ball…she was an awful human. Everything I read about her lends itself to the fact that she was nasty, insecure, unhappy, and just mean. I am so into that. Any person who can be that awful in real life and that entertaining on stage deserves a Lifetime movie. Now, lets assess the Ricardo apartment.

The Ricardos paid $125 a month in rent (to landlord Fred Mertz). They signed a 99 year lease! But when they moved to Connecticut, Mertz tore up their lease saving them 97 years in payments (around $150,000).
