Last week, Jake Gyllenhaal became the next celebrity to purchase a condo at the already star-studded 443 Greenwich Street building in TriBeCa. Gyllenhaal, through his Woodrow Trust, paid a cool $8.63 million for his new pad, according to new public City Registry records released on Tuesday.
In the condo, the Brokeback Mountain and Nightcrawler actor will enjoy a 2,868 square foot space with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The apartment also boasts a loft-style great room and a state-of-the-art kitchen.
443 Greenwich Street, which was converted from a book bindery to a luxury apartment building in 2015, is home to a multitude of celebrity big hitters and has been dubbed TriBeCa’s most star-studded building. Celebrities such as Justin Timberlake, Harry Styles, Meg Ryan, Blake Lively, and Jennifer Lawrence are among the celebrities who have previously purchased spaces or currently live in the building. As Nathan Berman, a developer who worked on the 443 Greenwich Street conversion previously stated, around 90 percent of buyers in the new development are “household names.”
With its Hollywood A-list residents, 443 Greenwich Street also boasts top-tier amenities. The building offers a 24-hour doorman, concierge, valet, and live-in building manager to attend to any of the residents’ needs. There’s also a private courtyard, 5,000-square-foot rooftop terrace, 75-foot indoor marble lap pool, wine cellar, and locker rooms, among many other amenities. Perhaps one of its most useful offerings is a “paparazzi-proof” underground motor court for the use of celebrity residents.
With that being said, it’s no wonder Gyllenhaal opted to buy this luxurious pad, with all the ritzy amenities and A + neighbors in the building, I am sure Donnie Darko will love his new place.
