As we all know by now, the cast of “The Big Bang Theory” is raking in the big bucks in its eighth season. With at least three more seasons on the way, few have seen the monetary success of the hit show more than Jim Parsons, the show’s resident weirdo (among weirdos). Parsons is pulling in $1M per episode in the 24-episode season.
Having closed on a $2.8M penthouse at 36 Gramercy Park East at the end of 2014 (adding to his collection of Gramercy Park homes), Jim is putting his dollars to good use. From Q4 2013 to Q4 2014, the median sale price for a New York City apartment has jumped almost 15%, and it is showing no signs of slowing down.
If Jim’s home continues to appreciate at, lets say 10% annually for the next 6 years, the home will be worth $4.96M in December of 2020. A profit of $2.16M isn’t too shabby, right?
