Former R.E.M. frontman, Michael Stipe has sold his Soho penthouse for $9.6M, a penthouse formerly owned by Casey Affleck in a building shared with Kirsten Dunst. <—- See what I did there? Stipe purchased the penthouse in 2007 for $5.75M, and, after extensive renovations and a generous buyers’ market, he landed a $3.85M profit on the three bedroom penthouse.
The unit at 533 Canal Street features a 2,500 square foot penthouse with Hudson River views, a Mario Batali designed kitchen, and a light-filed central atrium.
