The Whitman Team’s Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes

by | Nov 15, 2017

We polled the whole Whitman Team, and the verdict is in — November is our favorite month of the year.

The crisp air, holiday cheer, leggings and sweater weather, jackets and scarves, peppermint lattes, apple picking and pie making — You name it, we love it all. There’s no time like Thanksgiving to show off your cooking skills to those nearest and dearest to your heart.

Need some recipe inspo this year? The Whitman Team compiled a list of our go-to dishes for you to bring your friends and family this year. Enjoy!

From the kitchen of Tyler Whitman – Tyler’s doing the Whole30 diet this November, so he’ll be whipping up gluten-free and grain-free paleo stuffing for his Friendsgiving. When not partaking in Whole30, Tyler’s favorite dish to indulge in for his Thanksgiving feast is Loaded Sweet Potato Casserole. And he sure likes it sweet. Load him up on that extra brown sugar, please!

From the kitchen of Bailey Gladysz – Bailey will be eight months pregnant on Thanksgiving this year, and plans to fully take advantage of eating for two. A couple of Thanksgivings ago, Bailey discovered Cranberry Brie Bites and her life has been forever changed. If you don’t make this app to snack on, you’re doing your guests a disservice. Speaking of cranberries, this year on Bailey’s to-make-list, is homemade cranberry sauce with orange and cinnamon.

From the kitchen of Josh Heyer – Josh likes to keep it simple for Thanksgiving. He likes to be the one in charge of the green bean casserole. The traditional green bean casserole requires minimal effort and a short list of ingredients. It’s quick and easy to make, so Josh can pop into the family room and enjoy beverages with those who matter most to him.

From the Kitchen of Tara Burns – Speaking of beverages, Tara has a seasonal cocktail that is not to be missed this Thanksgiving; Sidecars with Dried Cranberries. Need something to munch on while waiting for dinner or leftovers? Tara highly recommends Chipotle and Rosemary Roasted Nuts. When it comes to the main meal itself, Tara is a master of the Roasted Garlic and Mascarpone Cheese Mashed Potatoes. Queue everyone inviting Tara to Thanksgiving this year.
