Try Tribeca: Your Weekend Guide

by | Feb 22, 2017

Home to many celebrities, Tribeca is the place to go for that potential celebrity sighting. To find out some other things to do in the area, we sat down with neighborhood expert and TripleMint agent Gina Ko to get her thoughts on some of the amazing amenities that make Tribeca a great place to explore or call home.

Where To Eat

For a quick bite to eat, Gina recommends stopping by Arcade Bakery, known for its amazing pastries. They also have some killer pizza and sandwiches, such as a classic French jambon beurre. Located in a somewhat hidden spot, a trip to Arcade is like taking a quick hop across the pond and stepping into an authentic Parisian café.

Where To Relax

While it’s easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of an active New York lifestyle, sometimes the best remedy is to slow down and treat yourself to a nice relaxing day.

“One of my go-to, favorite relaxing spots is Aire Ancient Baths; I could soak in there all day!” – Gina Ko

Aire Ancient Baths is notorious for having perfected every detail from start to finish, ensuring nothing short of the most soothing, relaxing experience possible.

Where To Work

Some cafés provide more than just a great cup of coffee, they can be a great place to get the creative juices flowing.

“When I just want to sit down and do some work outside of the office, I’m usually at Gotan. It’s a great spot to focus, but also lookup, relax, and take it all in. – Gina Ko

We couldn’t agree more. Gotan has a great vibe, free wifi, and plenty of outlets the perfect study spot.

Where To Have Fun

For a lighthearted way to spice up your day, consider a stop by Balloon Saloon, Gina’s favorite place to take her family and close friends for some laughs. Balloon Saloon seems to have every toy and party trinket imaginable, with of course the centerpiece being their unique balloons of all shapes and sizes.

Outdoors

As the longest pier in Hudson River Park, Pier 25 in Tribeca is loaded with outdoor amenities, from 18-hole miniature golf to sand volleyball courts, a turf lawn, and even a children’s playground. The Hudson River not only provides breathtaking views but it is an ideal spot to catch a breeze as the weather warms up.
